What I’ve Learned From Coaching Demos for Journalists

Every free coaching demo — especially with fellow journalists — reminds me of why I decided to coach.

Because, some newsrooms are still normalizing:

🙅🏾‍♀️ Disrespectful and dehumanizing behavior (YO, WHY ARE YOU YELLING?)

🙅🏾‍♀️ A lack of boundaries that doesn’t allow people to rest or recover (The news never sleeps but humans do, my dude)

🙅🏾‍♀️ No way to show genuine care for reporters covering the hardest stories of their lives — and the business folks supporting their work.

I want the industry to do better, to People better. It’s why I’m coaching.

And then there are the positive things demos have taught me:

🫶🏾 Inside every person is a beautiful and inspiring dream they may never have told anyone about. Encouraging them to pursue it is pure magic

🫶🏾 People want to have whole- 🍑 lives outside of their jobs

🫶🏾 Journalism still holds tremendous meaning for people, and they’re looking for ways to stay in it and stay healthy.

When I say these 60-minute demos are no strings attached, I mean it. If we decide to work together, amazing. If not, just know that I’ll still check in on you, because I care — and I’m nosy.

Please share this with someone you think would benefit from 60 free minutes with a journalist-turned-coach who wants the best for them.

See you soon, thanks for reading ❤️‍🔥 Book a free demo here.
